Welcome to the Grapevine House Bed and Breakfast built in 1834. The Grapevine House consists of two homes surrounded by a white picket fence. The main house and Erma's House have seven spacious guestrooms with a queen and/or full sized bed(s) and private baths. Both houses have sitting rooms with accommodations that include private entrance, refrigerator (free to our guests-coffee, juices and soft drinks during your stay) bathroom amenities, microwave, central air conditioning, DirecTv, and off the road parking. The Grapevine House also has a full sized kitchen available.

Connecting the two houses is a large covered back porchwith comfortable (locally made) hickory rockers that overlook gardens and a scenic Amish farm. After a long day of shopping in Winesburg or traveling to Berlin and Walnut Creek (approximately 7 miles away) we encourage all our guests to take a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Holmes County at its best.

While in Winesburg please feel free to stop in our gift shop called The Time and Treasure Trove (located in the Grapevine House Bed and Breakfast). This is where new treasures can be found with every visit. We offer a diverse selection of unique gifts including a large selection of stained glass, (made in the USA) quality country collectables, florals, home accessories, pictures, greeting cards and more. We're not just a gift store but a treasure chest that will make your house a home.

The Time and Treasure Trove is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed on Sunday

What do the Guests think?

Sitting and rocking on the back porch early in the morning was a super way to start our day! Birds, squirrels and horses - How sweet.

Back roads, back porches, rocking chairs and good chats are just a couple of things that make Holmes County and The Grapevine House special.

This is our 2nd time to The Grapevine House! Stephanie, our 9 year old, already calls this "home." She, as well as I get so excited to come and stay with you and visit this beautiful country side.
     - Cathy and Stephanie Pawson

Our two day respite is at an end and we reluntantly leave-rested revived-to go back to our other family and our other life. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality-even the thunderstorms were welcome. Our van is loaded with our "treasures" and "finds" and we never grow tired of the adventure.
     - Karen and Louise

Your bed and breakfast is a journal entry just waiting to happen!
     - Joyce

The sound of the horse and buggies slipped me back to a time of a slower pace living and made me feel like this is home.
     - Pat and Bill

Another great time spent here at our home away from home.
     - Jim and Ruth Ann

We are getting ready to leave and I'm about to cry again.
     - Fred and Karen

Your place is so homey that last night sitting in the living room with the group, I expected to see a dog come trotting in the kitchen.
